why is it that in addisons males hv adequte testosterone but affected females lose body hair due to the drop in adrenal androgens? confused guys somebody answer this plss

Yup that's it Shalu. Males main source of testosterone is leydig cells in females theca, but they get converted by aromatase into 17 beta estradiol, ur regular estrogen. Hence, the difference.

Adrenals are major source of these hormones in fetus not adults.

thanks shalini...and everyone !i was thinking its theca in female where 17-keto(thinking additional sourece for it in female) will be affected anyways thanks for the link epica.
