I am thinking of taking Cs in May in LA.but heard it is a bit difficult in LA.Want to know from ur experiences which centre to choose and do we have the choice to write /type in Patient notes in the exam.

You have choice of writing on paper or using computer.

i took exam in LA in feburrary. i also heard some bad things about LA centre but i idint notice any thing difficult or straneg there. i think all centres r equal i terms of exam dificulty and cases bcz this is a standardized exam and the SPs r trained for a long period of time for it

I took CS in LA on 6th Feb.I passed.My preparation is only a few days. ( I am working as Med reg in UK).My friends told me two weeks preparation is more than enogh.
I read FA and UW on the flight.
I read one more day in LA before exam.
Exam is not difficlt at all. After 3-4 cases, I knew I passed.Because, you are asking the same Q and doing the same routine in every cases.
I am 100% sure FA and UW is more than enough.
Just realx and go for it.
I think pass rate for IMG is > 80% for 1st time taker.
You will fail if you are very unlucky.
( I read exam experiences from this blog, this is really helpful as well.)

All the 5 centers have standarized procedures... you will find the same benefits in all of them.

hi,
I have the same querry. I heard recently from my senior friend that the passing rate at LA is lower than other centers. Is it true? Is there any real difference ? I want to be sure that I am going to pass because of the amount of money we as IMGs need to put in the exam is very to risk it....
