CAN a research LOR count as one of the three LORs that we upload on ERAS-or those three LORs have to be clinical ones-
Pls BBB and other forum seniors answer it-
One of my freinds has a research lor from USA-he was wondering whether this can count as one of the three LORs required in our application

Get LoRs from anywhere you can, aim for 10 letters, use 3 of the bests for each program. If you are going to apply for different specialty, get related LoRs.

In my idea, the name and title of the writer is more important than the context.

If Research LOR is from an MD, it carries more weightage!

But then at the end of it, what is written matters most, than who is writing it. research LOR can focus more on how hardworking, Proactive, loyal, team player etc. ( what kind of an employee u are).

HI..Can u suggest me a way??

I am planning to get LOR from US professors in the department of public health...Do u suggest me to get clinical LOR's from my college back home or else submit maximum number of LOR's from US???

I am planning to get 2 clinical LOR's from medical school back home and 2 from here...Will that be ok or else should I get 4 from here??

Please help...

Professors know how to whrite LOrs if they want to write them, if not, then they will write u bull shit just to get rid of u.

I got only 1 really good LOR from a medical director( god bless him and his family), the other 2 are garbage, just like i mentioned, 3 lines of bullshit, but I had no choice and I submitted them cause u need 3.

If someone is a big name, he/she will definitely wirte a good letter for you. When you are asking someone to write you a letter, look at yourself and see how far you are good. You have to already showed up yourself.

All the university doctors know how to write the Letter of Recommendation, coz they have already been through this.

No one wants to get rid of you, avoid this bad sarcasm.
