steve daughert 64 years old university professor brought with complaints of headache and seizures. seizures were sudden in onset, generalised tonic clonic seizures and assoicated with incontinence. on examination, patient was febrile,103F ,and has neck rigidity. brudzinski sign was postive. a diagnosis of meningitis was made.patient is a chronic alcoholic and smoker. he has hyper tension and diabetes. which isthe most likely agent to have caused the illness in this patient a.streptococcus pneumoniae b.haemophilus influenzae c.group B stereptococcus d.neisseria meningitidis e.escherichia coli f.listeria monocytogenus
