Hi , I'm currently studying for both the MCCEE as well as the step 2 USMLE.. I'm hoping that I can kill two birds with one stone. To be honest I haven't got any past questions from the MCCEE but I'm hoping that they are similar to the MCCQE and the step 2 USMLE. I wasn't really able to find much material online for the evaluating exam though... if I do come across something.. I'll post it.. Syringe

I woonder if you got to know the difference b/w the questions asked in mcq form in the MCCEE AND MCCQE1....besides of course the known difference of the presence of crs in qe1 hoping for a reply

Not a clue. When you read the info on EE .. it says you can practise with the QE question book that they send to you. My assumption is that there shouldn't be a difference. But I stand to be corrected.

I just read the FAQs to the MCCEE... apparently the Toronto notes are well used. The thing is I'm writing USMLE 2 and MCCEE ( can't make up my mind) back to back... and one thing i noticed is that you can't get all the info for USMLE step 2 in toronto notes...it just isn't detailed enough... but i'm hoping that once you study well for USMLE 2 .. the EE won't be too bad... I hope Syringe

Take my word for it..... The EE is a an extremely superficial test and preparing well for step 2 deosn't guarantee that u will do well in ur EE and definitely not vice versa... How superficila do i mean ..... 3/4 of the exam stresses on epidemiology of disease....a lot of it is stuff u notice u already know and the rest is frankly useless stuff.. In addititon to that the test has no time factor....there is far too much time for the thing..... Only 5-6 imgaes.... 322 MCQ's .... most of them aren't even in the form of cases...... Frankly i am not sure how exactly u shld prepare for it... but a good way is to totally ignore the Toronto notes...... and just check the community health section they got there.....with emphasis on canadian problems...even that u wld get at max 5-6 MCQ's on that and they are all worldwide health problems..... for example the health expenditure in any country is mostly on hospitals....and so if u get a question ...about health expensiture in canada ...then it is the same.... some questions here and there need some understanding of clinincal science and that is where u say good studying paying off..... but my advice ..is to concentrate on epidemiliogical aspects of each and every disease........ like age, sex, MCC, etc..... Another thing...... I do believe that it wldn;t be a problem doing well on the test..... I wld call it a somehwhat easy exam but also a stupid one....if they let me construct questions i wld have done better with trying to evaluate and assess the knwledge of students.... but just don't jeopardize ur step 2 ....study well for that ...give it its time..... and if u had to ignore the EE ..then go ahead and do it.... cuz the test isn;t worth the time and effort ..... Good Luck...... 1....alot is asked about psychiatry and specifically childhood disorders.....and i mean a lot 2.....Public health..... they have wierd questions about some experimental studies.... not much about the basic screening and etc.... 3....OB & Gyn....comes third....well overall .... somewhat not tough questions... concentrate on HRT and OCP and Endocrinology .... 4....Surgery ..... not so much Trauma but some G surgical stuff,...kaplan stuff is good enuf 5...Pediatrics..... relatively ok questions.... 6...Medicine..... very lil questions.... to the extent that i thought maybe there was a separate booklet for that ....hahaha.... I don't rememeber any Cardio question .....
