2.Ras proteins, which are indirectly coupled to receptors with ? kinase activity.
Please tell the name of this kinase

  #7

3.Mutant Ras proteins are associated with some neoplasms and most common is

1.Colon
2.Breast
3.ovary
4.lung

  #8

3. Lung and Ras proteins r bound to GTP proteins

Guys, please read, if it's mistakes I will stop to posting

1. Mutant Ras proteins are associated with some neoplasms (e.g., colorectal cancer).
* These defective Ras proteins are "turned on" in the absence of normal ligands, leading to neoplastic transformation of cells.
2. Cholera toxin modifies trimeric G proteins, causing them to remain in the active state in the absence of ligand.
* Resulting prolonged activation of G proteins → high cAMP levels → movement of water from the blood across the intestinal epithelial cells into the intestinal lumen → massive diarrhea with loss of isotonic fluid
3. Binding of α-bungarotoxin or curare to nicotinic ACh receptors in skeletal muscle cells leads to paralysis.
4. Graves' disease is an autoimmune disease in which TSH receptors are stimulated inappropriately by binding of immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies to the receptor.
* Manifestations include decreased levels of TSH, enlarged thyroid gland, and hyperthyroidism, leading to symptoms such as exophthalmos (bulging eyes), weight loss, fatigue, hand tremors, and nervousness.

Ok, guys, good point,nnl

"The GTP-bound form of Ras then binds to Raf protein. kinase (a MAPK kinase kinase) "

  #17

protein-tyrosine kinases, including phospholipase C-gamma, RAS GTPase ...

SO, it's Correct (new for me too)

  #18

Which point NNL? And from what i remembered i answered D...the insulin Receptors involve tyrosine kinase activity.....so i chose D. cytosol cause al this is to happen at the membrane......

For the other one ras is most common in colorectal cancers..just read that.

  #19

Hey HY histo page 8 receptor proteins, enzyme -linked receptors.

  #20

1, yes, Cytosol is correct for Q1
Thanks, guys
