Thank God I passed and I can finally write about it today.

Time for prep: 1 mth
Centre : LA
I started with UW cases first , saw the videos for examination methods. I did 8 cases per day from UW,took print outs of the cases, then read the same cases from FA and made notes of anything extra. Then in the evening practiced the cases with my husband . Made notes of D/D, Investigations to order and any specific examination / counselling points. This helped me in the end to revise the cases as knowing the D/D by heart is very important.
Only practice, practice and practice is very very important and kept improving on any shortcomings. I practiced everyday for a mth with my extremely supportive and sweet husband. I would give him the print outs of the cases and he would tick and deduct marks for any point i forgot to ask/knocking on door/courtsey/counselling/taking right name /examination. He maintained a computer print out of the list of cases and wrote in front of each case, points I scored and time I took in each case. So in this way in the end I knew which cases I needed to practice again. I always practiced it in timed way with a stop watch with my husband announcing minutes remaining after 10mts approx. Then practiced writing the cases too for few cases same day and remaining cases next day. But made sure that I Practiced at least once writing all the cases coz sometimes the cases seem easy but you get stuck when its time to write like in case where you have to counsel an alcoholic/ domestic violance.Believe me the mistakes/ points I forgot till the very end were the ones I forgot in the real exam too.
After giving my exam I realised it is a cumulative of your communication skills , courtsey to pt., washing hands, draping,covering points in H/o like PAMHUGSFOSS ,examining atleast the main system, counselling, and closing the case with asking the pt if he has any Q's and have a good day., shake hand and come out. !
