i was been called by a program for an advance program which i had applied through scramble ,which was a surprise , they said the PD is interviewing somebody and if that candidate doesnt qualify then he will contact me it seems,they had asked me whether i have a prelim spot in medicine , i said YES, though i dont have , lie came spontaneuosly!!!now will the PD be checking whether i have a preliminary spot by calling the other program??bbb and other experts please help.

Try to find a prelim or IM for one year, otherwise whether PD knows or doesn't know, you will lose the advanced position.
What specialty is that? See the requirement of preliminary year on designated borad website.

the pd wil ask u where u have it before he makes u sign the categ contract. ur best bet is to start huntin for a prelim spot and say u have a categ at the program whose pd has called u
