4) Because mitral and aortic valve are tiny as is also thge left ventricle -ASD is the most common cardiac congenital malformation found in adult. At birth VSD is the most common and many close spontaneously during childhood. -Osteogenesis imperfecta is assoc. with aortic rooot dilatation but significant valvular disease isnot frequent -Ebstain anomaly of the tricuspid valve is associated with fetal exposure to lithium carbonate -What is the congenital complete heart block?

Ebsteins related to lithium Sounds correct Congenital heart block occurs in children born to mothers of SlE and the mothers will test positive for anti-ro antibodies...but ..All CHB 's of infants need not be of SLE origin..I suppose.. Hypoplastic heart-->lv supposed to be small..right? Really impressed with these crazy questions

The Correct Answer is 3 1) VSD is the commonest at 30%, ASD is 10%. 2) In the vast majority of cases of neonates with complete heart block the cause is unknown but in the minority it may be caused by autoimmune disease, particularly Anti-Ro antibodies, in the mother. Anti Ro or Any Connective Tissue Disease (CTD) Has ONLY BEEN PRESUMED TO BE INVOLVED NOT YET WITH CERTAINITY BE PROVEN SO TILL THEN NO CONNECTION. 3) Ebstein's anomaly is associated with maternal LiCO3 use if exposed in the first trimester. 4) LV Hypolasia occurs when the left sided chambers fail to develop and blood enters the systemic circulation from the right ventricle via the pulmonary artery and a patent ductus arteriosus. 5) Aortic regurgitation may be a feature of Osteogenesis imperfecta.
