Hi guys I am going to start resideny program the last week of june I am applyng for J1 visa but my concern is If I can enter USA 60 days before residency start with my J1 or if I can go with my tourist visa B1-B2 visa. Please any suggestion I will appreciated a lot.

If you want to enter US on B visa, it takes time if you want to change it to J Visa, usually 4 months. I would enter US on J-1 Visa.

Thank you so much amirhossein the issue is if I have my j1 visa still I can use my b1/b2 or automatically is canceled.

I don't know exactly your conditon and situation, but you cannot be on two different visa at the same time.

I agree with amirhossein. You can not be unuder two visa t the same time. Once you get you J1, they will stamp your B1 as CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE and your new status will J1, not B1. You can request starting your visa couple weeks before program start date, you should find the details on DOS web-page
