The correct answer is C. 15% of the population of the United States had no health insurance in 1995. While people of lower economic status constitute much of this group, you should be aware that many employed,
low-middle class to middle class individuals also are uninsured, for reasons varying from self-employment to pre-existing medical conditions. Most of the implications are obvious: less preventative care, less early
intervention in diseases, high costs to society at large.
