Hi guys,
I am taking the Step 2CS in philly hopefully sometime in August.
I am planning to stay in "bank street hostel". `cause the price is yummi  and i am very cheap!!

those familiar with philly. do you think it is too far from the exam center? what if i want to use the public transport?how long would it take?
and in general, are hostels safe in the US?
sorry for the basic questions but as it appears, i am a US-virgin

I have been to philly, but not familiar with the area. Why don't you try priceline.com? Most of the time it will give you an incredible hotel rate. But before using it, better look what other people pay for the hotels there through priceline: http://p070.ezboard.com/Pennsylvania--Philadelphi...

you can take the steps (1, 2CK, 2CS) whenever you want in whichever order you desire as long as you have atleast done 2 years of med school.
