hey i took the NBME about a fortnight back and i scored 440 and 410 on NMBE1 and 2 respectively.I dont think i am making any big, remarkable improvement scorewise.I get confused at familiar things easily and tend to change my answers more than half of the time. What,in your opinion, would be a good way to improve my score and be a little more confident about my prep. Moreover,i have a really miserable time assessing myself. How would you suggest i do that? Please help me.I am having a serious problem with nerves.Exam is only a month away.

For starters, don't change your answers. RESIST the urge to do it. If you get confused with familiar things, I assume this means you can narrow your answers down to 2 that are similar and opt for the incorrect one, then you need to aggressively go back over these concepts. Drill them into you head until you can talk about and answer those questions in your sleep. I keep a log of the stuff I get wrong in the question banks, and I make note cards and look at them all the time. Let me tell you, it works! Try making note cards or charts for nerves. Memorize them.
