1. MGH 2.JHU 3.WashU 4.Mayo Minnesota 5. BWH But if you matched, your #1 should be your home institution... The beauty of the US system is that it IS standardized! You will get the same training almost everywhere but you might see more zebras at the big name places or you might be able to do research at those inst-s BTW, US news and world report is for people outside of medicine... it is garbage for health care professionals... but this is just my humble opinion...

My top residency school is where I matched!!!! that is the the best school in the world!!!! because I matched there!!!! They will have the HONOR to have me as a resident, and I will have the HONOR to be a resident there! Hopkins? UCLA? Mayo? bahhhhh.....you can keep it!!! I want MY hospital. Life is beautiful, lets be graceful for what it's been given to us. Good luck future ERAS applicants and Internal Medicine interns!

That's a great attitude... I sicerely concord. I was just answering correctly what bangle asked... but certainly what matters is to have a residency no matter univ aff or comm, in big city or in little town... what matter is to sign the contract and forget about ERAS & NRMP for now... We all now what we had to do to be here and that makes our hospitals #1 ... because its ours.

I totally agree with faaa78, The best program is the one you are right now. One of my oldest teachers once told me, to learn medicine all you need is patients and books everything else is just icing in the cake!! thants my two cents
