hi all... 'm a current final yr img.. frm wat i've seen in my coll is dat all goin to d US.. r doin sm reserch or d other... thay say..it helps in gettin agud university..if u've atleast 3-4 projects under ur belt!!! 'm very worried.. as i'v cleared my step1.. bt i have not YET thought abt research etc.. pl...pl.. tel me d truth.. i'l still 've my internship to do a research if its so imp.. its jus.. i'm gettin very worried abt it n nt concentrarin on my final yr... stupid i knw.. still... pl.guide..

It depends, there are some hospitals that like that thier applicants have research experience, others (including Univ hosps) prefer applicants with clinical experience. I personally think that a clinical elective might be more helpful to you. Good Luck!

Dear isther, Im an img too and will move to US in June..If i apply for observership/externship in June will i be able to get a spot for Aug sept Oct. I have no one to guide me on this aspect and Im so worried about this that Im losing energy that i should be spending on Ck..Im just worried because I feel that june will be too late to apply.... I passed Step 1 with good score but for ck I have alot of distractions of this kind as I have no one to guide me. thanks ahead.
