To bbb, amir hossein, dev, apurva and others. I have a question about the Research opportunity in the academic center. 1. Which one is better : Clinical or full time Lab research? 2. The Professor I talked with said that if I will join his group in a clinical research, he will also allow me to observe the patients. 3. He will also write me a letter of recommendation. I am applying for the 2008 match. Your response will be appreciated.

If you have that opportunity take it.... regarding your question....Basic Science Research is always much better than clinical research.... (but it takes more time to publish). Good Luck

Hello everybody, I am getting an opportunity to work full time in a research lab.But i have been asked to switch over to a J-1 research visa with the commitment of one year. I am a little skeptical about the waiver coming through. Is a research lab opportunity worth all the pains???? Also is there a problem with conversion to a J-1 clinical or H-1B in the future??? In case anyone has answers their kind help will be really appreciated..
