hi everybody! can someone please help with this question? 75 year old man who is being treated for atrial fibrillation has adequate controlled ventricular rate at rest. During excercise or stress his heart rate increases to an unacceptable rate. Which drug is effective in controlling the patients vetnricular rate during activity or stress? a. adenosine b. lidocaine c. nifedipine d. propranolol e. quinidine could someone please explain? Thanks!

d propranolol.. activity or stress induced rise in heart rate is due to sympathetic stimulation.. so you d wanna block it with a beta blocker..
