I need everyone to give me your opinions please! I have a dilemma and here is my situation: I am certified with a good score on both steps 1 and 2. tried to apply for OBGYN but did not match. Currently, no US LORS nor US clinical experiences. I want to prepare for step 3 and do some observerships to improve my CV for next match. However, if I do observership, I may not have enough time to take step 3 before Sept. 1st come around. Can someone tell me what I should do in this case? If you were me, would you choose to do observership and wait after the match to take step 3 OR would you take step 3 to get ready for applying in Sept? I can only do one or the other. In other words, which one is more important in getting interview and match? Observerships (US LORS) or Step 3? I have green card. Thank you very much, everyone.

Do observership first and get some US LoRs then. But I don't see why you cannot take step 3, it's not that much hard, you have still 6 months ahead.
