cholesterol stones: female, obesity, pregnancy,oral contraceptives, hormone replasement therapy, age , genetic(nativ americans, navajo indians)
pigmented billirubinate stones: chronic hemolytic anemia, cirrhosis ,parazites( ascaris clonorhis) ,sickle cell disease.

also cystic fibrosis ,crohn's disease, ileal resection, diabetis mellitus, multiple pregnancy , clofibrate.are risk factors for cholesterol stones.
alcoholic cirrhosis is one of the risk factor for pigment stones
