Hi, I'm 8 days away from my step 1 and I'm being reading that a lot of people that already took the test and did the usmleworld Qbank higtly recomend it.
Can anyone advice me if I'm still at a point where that could help me?
I did the kaplan Qbank and now I'm with FA and my notes.

STAY WITH YOUR PLANS

KAPLAN HAS 30 YEARS EXP. USMLE HAS 6 MONTHS EXP IN STEP 1. SO TAKE IT EASY AND RELAX. NO EXPERIMENTS AT THE LAST MINUTE. OK

I agree, stick with your plan, UW questions take a bit of time to go through. I do hope you have taken at least one NBME by this time. If not, that would be good to do ASAP!

obgyne2b, is nbme diferent from kaplan questions?

i would recommend you to stay oncourse! no need to test new things and in the process freaking out!

stick to your plan ! USMLEWORLD is helpful but only if you subscribe it for one month and its a good learning tool.

Study ur FA inside out for the last week

thank you inspot, at the begining of the month I thought in suscribing for usmleworld, but ran out of time reviewing my notes and topics that I marked on my books for studiing again before the exam (my weaknen areas and stuff to memorize).
It's true that I'll freak out!

I can't really comment well on Kaplan questions as they relate to NBME. But I have read posts from others that say that NBME scores correlate best with the real thing. I have also seen where getting 65-70% on Kaplan = very good Step 1. UW is not a good thing to try so close to your test date, except if you did an NBME and you scored below passing. Then you could extend your test date, sign up for UW and go through the questions and explanations, then do another NBME.
