Hello to everyone. I am an IMG who obtained a spot in the recent Match in Internal Medicine in NYC. They are offering me an H1b. I have contact the hospital attorney and I will start the paperwok soon. My questions are regading the state license. 1.- Do i need to get it before my residency starts?before my H1b is issued?or maybe during the residency? 2.- Why people talk about permanent and temporary medical license? 3.- If I need to get it, how much does it cost?how long it takes? Thank you to everyone

Thank you. NYC doesnt require state license to do your residency training or to start the apperwork for your H1b. I just talk to the imigration attorney.
