: Pic shows 1 small alveoli n 1 large with step cork in between. No surfactant lining both , what happens if stop cork removed ?

I knw small ones tend to collapse more...but acc. to
Tension = Pressure * radius
The large one will have more surface tension and hence tends to collapse more????
I think I"m missing some very easy point here...

accordin to the laplace equation.. P=2T/R... SO FOR THE SAME TENSION T... A SMALLER ALVEOLI WILL HAVE A GRATER COLLAPASING PRESSURE THAN THE LARGER ALVEOLI..
