For research job.... Look in pubmed for physicians that publish a lot in the topic that you are interested. They might have a research team, so get their emails and contact them explaining your interest. Out of 100 emails you might get 1 invitation, but most of the time is a self funded position...
For electives, contact the specialty department of different hospitals, or call friends that did an elective. each hospital has thier own policies in terms of visitors, just follow their instructions.
