how come aspirin is specifically used for arterial thrombi rather than venous thrombi? there are platelets in venous thrombi, but instead heparin and warfarin are used. goljan page 78 talks about it, but doesn't explain why.

venous thrombi composition = RBCs, WBC,s platelets
arterial thrombi composition = platelets

aspirin inhibits platelets, but warfarin and heparin's roles are inhibiting anticoagulants... but there are anticoags in arterial blood, which doesn't explain it.
