Transitional > IM prelim > Surg Prelim

You know, as you are and IMG, as well as I am, my friendly advise is do not waste your money on transitional year application - you will never get it, it is 99% for AMG matching into PGY2 later, and they want to spend easy year (which transitional year is - easy). I wasted a lot of money this year, and regret about it. I talked personanlly to other 3 IMGs, and they have had the same experience - just waste of money - not even one call.
So, ultimatelly it is up to you, but you can spend more money on IM prelim and have better chance to match there...
