PATIENT WTH ONE KIDNEY ATROPHIED DUE TO STENOSIS OF ATRERY:
WAT WILL BE
ALDOSTERONE ,RENIN N ANGIOTENSIN LEVELS IN THE RENAL VEIN OF OPPOSITE
KIDNEY?

Will all 3 decrease? it'll be in right renal vein that all 3 will increase and
as since more blod will b flowing to the opposite kidney, hence decrease in all 3 levels???

yessss, you got it right smiling face

Yes, if u have a Stenosis of a Renal Artery then the JG cells will presume tht less blood is flowing thru the Artery then RAA axis will start working therefore we will have the other kidney be effected by the Circulating RAA axis But in the Renal Vein of the normal Kidney we will have Decreased levels of Renin AngII and possibly Aldosterone. The renal plasma flow to the opp kidney doubles

greater stretch on the afferent arteriole

Juxtaglomerular cells stimulated

secretion of more renin

hence more angiotensin and aldosterone( but this would be in the next cycle of blod circulationbecause angiotensin 1 to II occurs in the lung )

nandrolone, just trying to understand things here.

if the blood flow increases to the normal kidney-->the stretch stimulates JG cells to release renin-->renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system activated-->then it should be more renin, angiotensin and aldosterone in the normal kidney also.

but the blood flow is good to the normal kidney so there should be a decrease in renin and aldosterone in the normal kidney as the main stimulus to activation of JG cells is decreased blood flow in afferent renal arteriole and so in the instance of good blood flow the JG cells should not be activated but stretch also stimulates JG cells.

so what is really going to happen here. and what happens to renin levels in the systemic circulation as that will determine if there will be an increase in BP or decrease in BP.

i may be totally off the point but just trying to understand things here and would really appreciate any help on this.

Guys Read Guyton In Physiology "Two-Kidney" Goldblatt Hypertension. After that Assume as the question wont there be any of the presence of the Subsatnces in the Unaltered RENAL VEIN
