The other night I was invited out for a night with "the boys." I told my wife that I would be home by midnight. "I promise!".
Well, the hours passed and the Margaritas n Teaquilas went down way too easy. Around 3 a.m., a bit blitzed, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times.
Quickly realizing my wife would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution (even when totally smashed), in order to escape a possible conflict with her.
The next morning my wife asked me what time I got in, and I told her midnight. She didn't seem disturbed at all. (Whew! Got away with that one!).
Then She said, "We need a new cuckoo clock." When I asked her why, she said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3 times, then said, "oh, crap," cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the cat and farted."

Now I know why hubby is very, totally against to buy new or , have the cuckooe wall clock or any chime clock that will strike hourly or at any set time , so I will remember my meals without knowing only after tummy ache.
You know what he said, we do have one, so , then after long days, weeks , no cuckooe sound yet , so...I asked again, same answer . Then the 3rd time I asked him to brought the clock down to turn that cuckooe sound on , he sure did, then looking at the back of the clock & said, I did not know where & how to make this cuckooe sound on .
End of story , I gave up, just have table clock , next to my lap top, either try to stare at the time there without any job done on line or in books or just surf , type away on line or read into flipping book pages without noticing the time again , so..., if I am lucky I will remember to eat on time.
Man !!!
Thanks NnL , I'm really stress out today , still browsing all CS resources I have FA, UW , but no good one with short , summarized CVS, CNS, Respi , locomotor, abdo etc for hx, phy exm, inves, to management .
So this lounge post this one really give me a big laugh & answer , since till now still do not know why , the hubby can operate any small or big mechine, appliances , tools without any instruction or read them, now with that just to turn the sound cuckooe switch on, if there is one, but that "makes him , show me that" he confused & did not know how to make it work .
