Hi
After reading the notes and watching the DVD, I scored 45% in the UW cardiology questions .When the time ended I was on the 36th qn.And I am afraid I didn't get the concept and I have to work hard on my time managent in the exam.I was reading and re-reading the qs while the time was ticking.
Holy mother of God! I guss I need to read cardiology from CMDT. Then I will see how I do on the next block of UW.
For mothers like me who are struggling for usmle, though it seems like a turtle race we will get to the finishing line.Don't loss hope and read whenever you get time.

MY exam is on july 30. I was doing kaplan medicine and uw. I switched to step up to medicine since kaplan is not working for me.I have to get in to some rhythm.Everybody here is doing just great and I wish to have the dicipline and devotion you guys are showing.

I read infectious d/s today.I am going to do q on it from the UW. Everybody is doing great and I am getting strength from your strength.
Happy reading !! ( It doesn't even ring well in my ears. I know reading for steps is not a happy reading.)

I got 78%. It is the highest score I got so far.May be it is b/c it is infetious disease that I got higher. Now I will read the explanations after I put my son to bed. emmmm it feels good to get a good score once in a while!

today I read GUT from step up for medicine. I got this book helpful for me since kaplan IM made me feel safocated. I will do UW one block of GUT and see wether I got the concept or not. I have to speed up my reading and need to concentrate.

Hi Mitty, pls tell about this book 'step up'.... I just received my Kaplan LN books nw and when i saw the surgery book i felt like is this enough or should i go for any other sources... pls advice about that also, if u finished reading surgery. Good luck

Hi drbin. I am happy to learn that you passed step 1 with a great score. About step up to medicine,this I what I got in this forum about the book.

It is an easy reading and kaplan become readable after reading step up to medicine. Just read a topic in step up to medicine and read it from kaplan immediately.
About surgery, I think everybody says kaplan and UW cobination is enough.
I realy belive that you will do great in step 2 too,

I got 54% in one block of GUT UW and went back to my book to reread the topic.Did another block and got 67%. This is improvement yes?

I finished the ob/gyn. Now I am ready to hit the uw questions. I have to do all the questions of ob/gyn before starting peadiatrics, that would be saturday!!!

got 65% from one block of ob/gyn. I just finished reading this subject. why am I getting low scores?
I am  at myself. I took too much time on reading and still my score is....
O.k let me now play with my kid and give him the quality time he deserves with his mamy. Then I will do another block. This time I will do in tutor mode and go to the books for every wrong answer.
