I am thinking about buying that programs list from Match a resident. It says its a customized list, according to the criteria you provide, like ur yr of grad, credentials etc but before going ahead and doing it i want get an opinion about it. Is there anyone who has used it and found it useless.
On the otherhand, i can email all the programs in the states i am interested in and ask questions which would eat up alot of my time. what say you?

HMMMM there r soooooooooooooo many site's that give there's lists it's so difficult to trust anyone. Besides i had this one guy tell me that some guy who matched told him imgexperts.com was good but that site doesnt seem up yet. grrrrrrr it's getting frustrating now

Ok guys so is it time yet to start emailing programs about their criteria? Most of them dont have that info on their website.
I'm also thinking about buying the list ...but someone told me the lists are old info...it looks like a lot of work emailing so many programs.

still trying to get all my application docs together... still have not reviewed via web each program on my list... figured i would start emailing programs at the end of the month...

Hi cocacola, Good to see you here.
I am also collecting doc to send to ERAS. LORs frm back home are with me which i will send this month but i am expecting 2 USLORs which will come early-mid august. I dont know how long the ECFMG will take to scan and upload them and i have to apply sep 1st....so they will be of no use if i cant assign them to programs on Sept 1st....so frustrated!

Hello every one,
IMG hoping to match next year.
I wish I were not tied down to this masters degree I am doing. (Clinical Pharmacology). I am in the UK, but I can't start US Clinical experience till Sept, and maybe get 1 LoR in mid October.
It may take ERAS up to 4 weeks to scan your documents so I guess one needs to have sent douments in by mid October for late applications.
Does anyoe have any insights? I can get LoR from UK doctors but don't know if they are any good.
Which is better applying late (November) with 1 US LoR or applying early with no US LoR

I want to start emailing programs about their criteria but i want to do it in such a way that i put everyone's email add simultaneously, type just one general email and send it with just one click. But at the same time i dont want them to see i mass-emailed. Is it possible by using CC BCC?

i used to know how to do that but i dont remember SORRY, so theres a way try by sending emails to yourself

everyone is all worked up.. I think I've been procastinating a lot, I just payed for the ERAS token and dont know what to do next. I dont know what to write in my PS... bottom line, I dont know many, many things..

I know there's a way also but I'm just too scared to try it and blew it off that I just don't try it at all. I've been sending e-mails the old fashion way: one by one...jajaja it's not that bad though...but if your find out how to, please let me know. Take care and good luck.

no its BCC - blind carbon copy...
you can send to multiple addresses without the receiver seeing the other email recipients

hey thanks cocacola. You are right. I tried it just now by typing my own email add in the "To" box and then in the BCC box i typed various email adds, none of them could see the other email addresses.

A stupid question: At what point do you send in the Dean's Letter and your Transcript of record and to who do you send these docs to? ERAS?NRMP? I'm quite lost about this :P.

If your are an IMG you send it to ECFMG...go to ECFMG website for more info. Ecfmg will scan all your documents and put them in your ERAS...when you request to send them they will be send. That's it...the MSPE will be revealed only in Nov 1, all others can be send through ERAS once they are scanned. Good luck...
By the way I don't think I have a BCC!!! I have a CC and a CCO which one is it? Ohe well take care you guys see you around...

You can start sending in the end of July so that they have it in the first days of August and get scanned (takes 4 weeks or more) and are ready to be send in early september (that is if you want an early application) if not you can send whenever but remember that it takes at least 4 weeks for the scanning process.
