Hi everyone,
I have been an avid follower of this forum and have learnt quite a lot. I attempted to match this year..attempted because i took my exams very late (Step 1 in Aug 06, Step 2 in Oct 06 and CS in Nov 06) and was ECFMG certified in early February. I knew that my chances were quite slim to begin with and interviewed at 2 places only. I would be lying if i told you that i was ok with not being matched..but it would have been a dream come true..
Having said that, I know there are many of us trying again next year and i wanted to "rally the troops" in the true spirit of this forum. The seniors here like apurva, ngt (to quote a couple..i know there are many kind, intelligent people here) will be moving on to a busy internship life.
Lets keep the forum clean, positive and a place where one can get strength during this tiresome, energy-sapping process!
A little info about me. I am an old grad (1998) with a PhD and am trying to get into IM and Heme/Onc which is my career goal!!
Guys, feel free to leave a PM if anyone needs more info!!
One final word of thanks and admiration to BBB for her invaluable advice even amidst her eye-popping schedule as a coordinator!!

Yup U can Count me in too though i dont have all the prequisites under my belt but my target is too for '08 Match. n God Willingly we shall all get our dreams fulfilled

Great thread docdockart... also still working on the prerequisites - but with God's grace will be ECFMG certified soon and bugging the hell out of BBB with my endless questions... lol...
