hey babydoc, i got my exam on wednesday and i wanted to ask you what you did in your last few days.. did you go over everything or did you do questions/nbme? i've pretty much revised everything in the last few days and i'm taking nbme 3 tomorrow. I just keep getting nervous that i didnt finish all of qbank or uw... i took nbme 2 last week and got 650/248 but i dont want to have my hopes up considering form 2 is easier...since i haven't finished all the banks (did 70% of uw and 78% of qbank) i feel as if i'm unprepared..ah i duno what i feel...this is soo nerve wrecking

exactly - NERVE WRECKING!!! that is why i didn't do any tests - i would go nuts if i had bad results but i did go over my notes and FA - no K-notes for me in last days, only review and don't worry about those "unseen" questions - how much different they are from what you've already solved? now it's time to relax and concentrate, you need a very good night sleep. as for NBME? why do you want to take it? what difference will it make? you'll be nervouse with no benefit of learning so if i were you i would not do it (and i didnt) other than that - you can do 99 go get it

ok, this is what i think to make a choice between SV of EF is not really good, because SV change will cause EF change, so to make a choice toward one parameter and disregard another doesn't seem right to me. besides, we can have CHF without decrease in EF. HR is regulated more by ANS than by heart loads (to some extent) Left atrial pressure will be increased in case of overloaded LV with decr SV/EF and will get even worse after mitral insufficiensy develop (due to overstretching of LV by incr blood volume) so LAP increase is my answer. how did i do? PS. i am aut of PMs for today

to abdo: i still think that UW is closer to the exam as for time mngmnt: it ok ok, had left few minutes at the end of each block...had questions where i spent 2-3 minutes before i could move on. but break time was slipping through my fingers....be careful with that

I would agree with u in uncompensated CF, but why in COMPENSATED CF LAP still compromised?
