HI! I also have a 2 year old son and I am a 2003 grad. I have been studying on and off for so long its unbelievable. I think this is the best time though, because your son only needs monitoring. Right now I have my parents to watch him while I study 4 days out of the week. First I put myself at a 3 month schedule...if it goes longer its ok...at least i am somewhat on track. My husband is a resident and there was no way I could study with his help because he was sooo busy...and never home. I had to do the cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, buying groceries and other necessities, and sometimes entertain guests at home...but I found that I could do most of the cooking 2 times a week. That was the hardest. Then I could do most of my other chores when he was awake... and I tried to study when he was watching tv and playing in the morning, then during his nap time and then in the evening. Keep a strict schedule for him and he will go by it. Kids need schedules...for meals, naps, and bedtime. Then you are familiar and can work around it. I would keep a strict bedtime to be at 9:30 so he was asleep by 10pm and I could study at least until 1-2 am. He would wake up around 7 or 8...and I would just wake up with him. See the pm i sent you.

Hi moms, this is a new mom I have a 4 month old kid. Im taking my step 1 in July, this is my 2nd attempt, first time i took in 2005 got a 73 , hadnt studied well i agree, didn't pay attention on questions much last time, but this time im focussed, & have started with questions first, almost finished Qbook. Theory side by side, find it much better this way. Im willing for online discussions. But btter wud be if we studied & told each other how much we have finished, so that we dont lose pace, & compete with each other to finish the syllabus. Let me know. My email id is ms_dr_ns@yahoo.com good luck.
