GABA-C?
Can u tell me their location and function?

  #2

GABAC receptors are the newest addition to the GABA receptor family. Structurally and functionally they resemble GABA-a receptors. They are linked to ligand-gated chloride channels but are not as fast to inhibit as GABA-a is, but their effects last longer. They are found in various places in the brain but have high concentrations on retinal neurons.

GABAC receptors are ligand-gated chloride channels that are present in many parts of the brain including the superior colliculus, cerebellum, hippocampus, and, most prominently, the retina. Our current knowledge of GABAC receptors comes mainly from studies performed in the visual system, particularly on retinal neurons.

lol buddy its not that wht suprised me was the whole length of the article when a simple reference and a relevant paragraph would have done job. But u sure did made me realise that the author needs to be recognized in every way n i will in future make sure that i do mention the link to the reference i quote. i think i might not have been so careful in the past but from on i will make sure.

Thanks Mate.
