A 72-year-old woman has a head CT performed because of headaches. It is significant for a left hemisphere mass with an overlying hyperostosis of the skull. She most likely has which of the following?


a. Meningioma
b. Pituitary adenoma
c. Astrocytoma
d. Schwannoma
e. Hemangioblastoma

Well its the 4 things
1. Women ( meningiomas r most common in Women)
2. Age mostly occur or show symptoms after 40yrs peak being 70-80yrs.
3. Location as u know it commonly are found at the surface of the brain, either over the convexity or at the skull base.
4. n the MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP they may be associated with hyperostosis, i.e there is a bone involvement.
