Hi,

I have finished my step1 3 weeks back and waiting for my score..i am doing my Master's program simultaneously which is very demanding and I know it is high time I start studying for step 2 ck..BUT>>Things are not going my way..Started writing a journal -aiming atleast it will boost me up but without support..that was kept at bay..

Now,My close friends who scored 560 and 610 in NBMe has got their scores with 85 and 91 rspectively..I got a score in between in NBme and quite upset...Lots and lots to do-My Master's program,My part-time job and of course the big thing Step 2 Ck..Now with these results,I don't feel like studying at all..I am not sure wat to do???Help Plsshaking head

hey sprint123......dont do that mistake...! See the step 1 is over and results are not in ur hand....so to be on safer side..aim for step 2 CK..dont waste time...start slowly with step 2....because u r going to write it....some time...so start with any of ur favorite subject.Dont worry you will get a good score....! All the best..!

Hi lighttray,

Thanx..I think the mistake I am doing is not starting with the subjects which is interesting...i was wondering what you guys do when you feel a bit tired after 45-50 minutes of studtying when u need a little break...Usually these breaks turn out to be a full blown day for me....
it will be interesting if someone could drop your own idea to make these breaks usefulwink

hi sprint to be honest even i face this problem..but what i try to do is keep an alert on my mobile...to indicate that break time i intended is over...at times it does work... TRY this..!

Although I strongly doubt that studying can be addictive, no matter what you do, here's something along the lines of Psychology: where a task becomes addictive when its completion is randomly accompanied by rewards.

Like video games, where completing a level can be done in two ways: just completing the level, vs completing the level with max rewards (points, powers, etc). I bring candy & a magazine to the library, so I can have random rewards (a piece of candy or an interesting article). A longer lunch break once in a while is a nice reward too. Or leaving early. Only once in a while, though.. All the best to you!
