Hi Sera , Yes I am listenning to Highlights and Neuro DVD since Highlights don ' t have Neuro section . I usually listen to them at night after a long day studying . They are really good for last month review and I recommend you them if you have time .

Hi Doc Clotaire,I must say that your journal is very inspiring. I loved how you worked on your weaknesses and improved your scores dramatically. I think I see a great score in your future. Anyway, you've mentionned goljan audio here and there and I was wondering which ones are you referring to. Are they from step1 or step2? I appreciate if you can answer my question knowing that your exam is fast approaching . Good luck and god bless!

As you can see I am a Goljan fan ( even have his pic here  )
Well, his Great Teacher saved my life in step 1 , since around 15-20 % step 2 came from strong step 1 basics , I still listen to him whenever I have time . I listenned to both of them step 1 and 2 audio but I found out that they have the same content so I just stick to step 1 to have my pathophysiology concept STRONGER .
How is your prep going buddy ? What are you doing now ?

Well , I am done with another UW block and scored 82 %
Read all explanations and now I am gonna finish NEURO and start with Respiratory tomorow

12 days to goooooooooooooooooo
I just did a block of UW and scored 76 % .Already read explanations . Today , I start with Renal first and let Respiratory later . I will spend a good time in Resp and Cardio next week since they are the highest yield on exam
This last two week , I plan on finishing all my UW incorrect questions and review my own notes and FA only .
I will do Kaplan simulated and USMLE CD next week God willing .
GOD , HELP ME PLEASE !

Thanks for the reply. I'm doing my first reading. It's gets a bit boring that's why I like listening to lectures. I'm not familiar with the goljan lectures but I've heard so much about it. I have yet to find a way to get them. Coming to the forum helps a lot, especially reading prep journals like yours put things into perspective for me. I have yet to do the UW Q BANK. the only downside to the forum is that I linger way too long in here sometimes and it eats up my studying time already limited as it is because of my other obligations.
Anyway I'm truly honest in saying that you will do great.You seem to have a good grasp of the basics and that's priceless.
Good luck. Just keep the faith and the confidence in yourself and you'll do great.

The only thing I can suggest you is to start doing UW as soon as possible in your preparation because it will help you to focus more on the highest yield fact in Kaplan .I think you will do fine too . Happy studying to you too

I am frsutrated by my score in UW... still reading some IM one more month to go... I will go to church tomorrow to ask for strenght and ability to focus.. I will also pray for you.... PLease keep posting things for us who are also AVG and still in the process

Don t worry about your UW score , UW is way tougher than real exam . Just use it as a learning tool and make sure you take note of it while doing it .It s good that you are going to church because you cannot do ANYTHING without GOD

Dear USMLE Gladiator !
I am studying FA 2001 , it 's an old edition I had and I am adding all new extra info from UW in it . I think FA is still a great book even if most people say it 's not that BIG TIME comparing to step 1 . It 's very good for last month review and besides It just dawned on me that you can answer 70-80 % of UW question just by reading FA , they have almost the same info .
Anyway , I guees it depends to every one 's style , take a look at it and make your jugment call

You are doing so well, just keep this calm and Im sure u will have a 99. all the best for ur smulated exam dear. you are right , the real exam quest are easier than the UW...the only difficult thing in exam is concentration till the end..Im sure with such hard work you have built taht stamina. All the best for these last days doc_clotaire. I can see u score great in future.

Wao , there are some questions on UW that even if I read them several times , I am still getting them wrong .

Today , I am trying to FINISH UW , I start paking my stuff because I will be leaving for another city tomorow , I am gonna see a PAIN MANAGEMENT DOC to hook me up for the exam .
