u dont have to read them buddy but u can look them up if u find urself in a bind i.e cant understand a concept. Keep them as ur reference books.

If u r a fresh Grad then it wont hurt to cos half of th ebooks u must have studied in ur med school but if u r an old grad then u might consider certain additions to ur arsenal.

Ganong + BRS have helped ppl in Physio. half of us will say BRS n the other Half BRS u pick ur own.
Robbins Basis OF Path is one good book Keep that in ur daily use for pictures. If u have its Pocket Companion then u have hit the Jackpot cos u will need it in CNS n MGT & FGT.
Katzung Board Review is another Good book u might want Pretty cool book. Some say the New Ed. of Lippincott is also good PICK UR OWN CHOICE.
For the Rest of them i think Kaplan has done a damn good job

JUST REMEMBER ONE THING THEY ARENT GOING TO QUESTION U AS PERSON DOING MASTER IN ANY OF THE PRE-CLINICAL SUBJECTS THEY WILL BE ASKING U THE CLINICAL CO-RELATIONS IN EVERY THING. SO DONT GO SO DEEP THAT ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR U TO REVISE IN THE END.

Almost every Qbank is given in Systemwise or Discipline wise or both of them Many r there but Kaplan Q bank n Usmle World n Usmle RX r still the leading ones. buy them as ur pocket allows u. Normally ppl have done well with KQB N UW if u have extra bucks n RX is also a good choice alongwith them.

Agree with new_n_lost .

I am using MedEssentials also and find it very useful. You can have free down loads for this one. This is a system wise compact form of all Kaplan notes. You can call it First aid from Kaplan. You can keep adding points to it along with your readings from what ever books you prefer and use it for your final review along with first aid.

Good luck.

Also do kap Q bnk as early as possible, at 2nd read, it is more than kap notes, dvd in learning wise.
Apart from that totally agree with new_n_lost & unique1
