1.pilocarpine ....a M agonist...acts by causing meosis and constriction of ciliary muscles...opens canal of schlemm...decreases IOP.

2. CA inhibitors......acetozolamide..decrease aqu. humor formation.

3.hyperosmotic agents...mannitol and isosorbide...create osmotic gradient between ocular and plasma fluids.

4. beta blockers..timolol and betaxolol..decrease aqu.humor production.

though we say pilocarpine...practically speaking...pilocar never acts during acute attack..becos iris sphincter is ischaemic..so first reduce IOP with mannitol i.v..and then try pilocar.2 to4%
