They say that you can't save and apply to more than 30 programs through the Scramble. They also say that in order to be time efficient, we should save those 30 programs and on Tuesday to click on "apply". Q: at what point in time do you guys save those programs in ERAS to get yourselves ready for the Scramble? Q: at what point in time do you guys actually apply to those programs (because it might very well happen that the programs saved by you would not have any unfilled positions this year)? Any ideas? Thanks!

1. Don't know but I guess you can save them anytime. 2. Apply to the programs only when you've got the unfilled list for this year. Sorry, can't exactly tell you about this cos I haven't heard people saving programs beforehand but it def sounds like a plan.

thanks, guys, for your feedback. It all started from the following paragraph in the email we received: "> Applying to Programs < During Scramble, select the programs to which you wish to apply. This year, the NRMP's unfilled list will have the ACGME ID for the unfilled programs. Use the ACGME ID to search for and select programs quickly. The selected programs will appear on your "Programs - Selected" list. Click on the button 'Apply to Selected Programs'. You will see an invoice with zero ERAS fees. From this screen, click on the button 'Apply to Selected Programs'. This will process your application to the residency programs. Once you see these programs on your "Programs - Applied To" list, you know your applications have been transmitted."
