Hey doctor123, the general consensus aroung these forums is to use RR Goljan ALONG with the audio! The book by it self is awful in my opinion. But, i think it is very good with the pirated audio lectures. You might want to scan through the chapter real quick and then listen to his audio. Lot of the pictures he talks about are in the text book. Another way you can do it is to listen to a particular lecture and read the same stuff in the RR book. Then it will be little bit more clear. Good luck!

i dont hv a rt to post a reply rt now as i am still to take the exam but i used kaplan notes along with the video lectures the videos are pretty useless if u want to do kaplan then just do the book i'm on my second reading and i am using goljan now there is no comparison undoubtedly goljan rapid review 2nd edition takes the cake the only problem is that it takes time to read u can finish abt 70-80 pgs per day frm kaplan but with goljan u can manage max upto 50 pgs per day atleast i cant manage more than that i actually postponed my exam just because i didnt hv time to listen to the his audio lectures they r pure gold.... they follow the book pretty well and they shd be done only once u hv gone thru the book once atleast so if u hv time at hand read goljan otherwise go for kaplan but it is not sufficient u will need to supplement it with some other source besides i did my bit of research on various forums and was surprised to find that all those who read goljan actually scored in 90s i did not find a single person saying that he read goljan and scored below 90 i may be wrong but atleast thats wat the picture seems to be if u go thru the forums i'm not saying that ppl reading kaplan did not get great scores all i'm saying is that ppl reading goljan did not get low scores ultimately its ur choice choose watever u r mst comfortable with and in case u plan to use goljan i strongly suggest u finish physio and biochem first it really helps, otherwise u'll hv a tough time coping with the book i did physio, biochem and pharma before starting goljan and it becomes so much more interesting. besides it helps me revise these subjects alonside path best of luck happy studying
