Do we need to do 1 year of prelimn med to scramble for Family Medicine ?? confused

not a requirement by acgme. but most programs have written 1 year us residency as requirement so i didn't apply there. i think those programs basically don't want img's.good luck

hey white rabbit,

there is no prelim year requirement for family medicine. its a straight 3 year cat spot. i believe FM is actually easier to get than prelim medicine yr anyhow.....but no 100%

if you hadit, it would be better, but you don't have it, so try to grab it. Not heard of any needed prelim req.
