CocaCola Forum Guru Topics: 35 Posts: 908	03/09/07 - 12:23 PM             #1 Cleared step2 with a 95/234... not a fantastic score, but good - cleared step one with only 89 so i am happy to be in the 90's for this step... This is how I did it - 2.5 months of studying... Started studies with a read of all Kaplan notes once... read IM and surgery twice (IM is really most of the exam and i am poor in surgery)... tried the videos but really couldn't get into them... Started Kaplan qbank at the beginning of my studies but only did about 30% of questions with a score of 66%... (stopped because a family tragedy interrupted my studies) didn,t bother to renew my subscription... UW - online, did once, allways timed, sometimes random, sometimes by subject - 63% NBME 2 - 550 - 1 week before exam no other NBME's done my exam experience - awful... i was exhausted by the 4th block... i ran out of time on the 6th and last block.... I left the prometric center thinking i failed... i had nothing good to say about the exam... the exam coorelated most to UW... the questions were similiar but not as picky... i think repeating the usmleworld questions are a good idea... it's a good way to firm up what you do know and teach what you don't know... this forum helped me so much... i wish i knew about it for my first exam... people i want to thank... Sarika your prep journals helped me realize a busy mother can do it... Priyagrove thanks for the notes... your prep journal also gave me faith... Robin and Chemamr thanks for sharing... you guys are truly the prep4usmle masters... Aashi and MdCooper... your questions were always great and so informative... Mazinger... your post was really inspiring and made me feel good about myself despite my lack of 99's... Mjl1717... you are one funny dude... there are other's... keep doing what your doing... Gotta study for CS now... exam in a week... really hating studying for it!!! I plan to give it in aug-oct interval. can u pls suggest what all materials i must have? For step 1 i used only Kaplan and BRS patho. No FA. Then Q bank. and also what is the ideal time for UW/Q bank.... Good luck for CS ___________________ action speaks better than words
