I am going to marry with my boyfriend in April. I have some questions regarding ecfmg certificate. Could you please reply them for me?
1. Do I have to request changing my last name after marrying? ( I 've already recieved ECFMG certificate for 2 months)
2. In case I want to participate in the 2008 matching, Do I have to change my previous last name to the new one in every documents ? ( transcript, my recommendation letters, MSPE )
3. Should I change my visa from visitor (B1) to J2?

1. Only if you are actually changing names.
2. ERAS has a field for AKA (also known as) names or previous last name.
Not uncommon and congratulations.

hey u dont have to change name unless you want to. I didnt change mine. . Congratulations by the way. If you need to change it and then just put it in ECFMG

Hi Folks,
My Fianc'e is in the process of taking her STEP-1 in May. She would be joining me in the month of Nov 2004. Is there a way that she could apply for residency when she comes in November?
