liwei, you did a fantastic job for your ck. you sure will make CS without problem. since you started preparation so early, you'll be well done by that time. I will skip this course though. I'll start cs study from now. unfortunately, my kids are too little to be my sp. mazinger, YOU'LL BE JUST AS FINE AS LIWEI. YOU'LL GET IT TODAY.

Hi, snake0613. I studied CK for almost 5 month, 5 hrs a day, M-F. I couldn't study when my hus and son were at home. I used Kaplan notes, kaplan video (I got it from amazon), USMLEworld, and nothing else. First Aid is not as useful as in step1. I just went through it in case I missed some big part. But I have Kept on doing USMLEworld until the day before the real test day to keep my active status. I got 67% on first round. I think even with a score of 60% , you can aim 99. I tried several pages of PRETEST. It just pushed high yield stuffs out from my head since I got limited brain volume. In the real test, I became very tired at section 6. I also felt it was very hard and I was getting confusing at that time. I always read the Qs very fast and had about 15 mins left in practice. But in real test I got only several mins left. I was nervus and rushed to the bathroom on every other break. I also heard my stomache singing, other people typing. I even heard high frequency mouse striking as if sb was playing a game. So, feeling bad does not mean a bad job. Just be confident and keep on hard working until last min. I did it. You can do it .

I have received the ECFMG certificate on 3/3/2007, yet I have not received my Step 2 CK score. ECFMG folks are not helpful. I am going to scramble with a certificate but no Step 2 Ck score. Imagine my chances... :o(

eturan, you are 1 year ahead of me. I don't know much about match and scramble, and I don't have time to worry about it now. I wish you can get what you want and save one year.

Hi, ssss, I always did the timed-mode and had about 10 mins left, so sometimes I missed some information. but I felt safe in the way I dealt with time, because in real test I had less time left to go through the marked qs.

Hi, Liwei: Congratulation for your big success in CK exam! Your study method is very encouraging for me because I also use UW and Kaplan materials as main resource. I have one question need to ask you. Can you tell me how the case length in the real test compare with UW questions? Are they much longer in real test, or a little bit longer than UW? Thank you!

Hi,snowdrops, some qs are long, but at the same time, some are very short. So I feel it was almost the same on averagy. When I met the long qs, I just skipped the labs first

Indeed, in the 6th section, I couldn't think clearly. I don't know whether it was because that I was too tired or just because that section was very difficult. I will suggest that you don't rush to the next section, use the break time to cool down. gk to your ck, snowdrops

I think I got less time left in the real test because I was nervous and s.t. I could not concentrate. so snowdrops, if you can have some time left in each section of UW, you will be alright.

That's my problem. I got very bad reading habit. I enjoy reading word by word. If no time limit, I definitely read every single word in the case. When I do UW questions, I normally check time a few times. If I see my process is slow, I can quickly scan the case stem, quickly browse those TPRBP, personal history and family history, which is so reluctant for me. If I know I have plenty time, I will slow down to my enjoyable speed. So, most time I end my UW tests without much time left. If you say the real test is not super long, I will be not scared to go to the test. Thank you very much for your information. Good luck for your next exam! See you around!
