A. an unrepaired VSD is a moderate risk ---> need prophylaxis. For dental, oral, respiratory and esophageal procedures, Amoxicillin is indicated in all circumstances

I guess the prophylaxis is indicated only when there is valvular damage. VSD has nothing to do with heart valves. And also the idea of prophylaxis is to prevent bacterial sub endocarditis; which starts predominantly at the valve.

Its A---->Amox/clinda 1 hr before the procedure, the only time u dont give a prophylaxis is ASD, Repaired valve >6months, MVP without murmur on P/Ex
