transvestite fetishism : male , his gender identity is a male and preferred partner is a female but likes to dress up in female clothes.

gender identity disorder ( transexual ) : male, his gender identity is a female and preferred partner is a male.

Thanks Doc 179 !!! That's what I thought.

So the answer to the q should be Transvertism.

I thought the Transexual was a male who identified himself as a female n decribes his male organs as loathsome n disgusting n he hates the shape of his body. he can also prefer female sexual partners. Plz Correct me if i m wrong Gender - identity issues r normally found in Transexuals.

Transvestism is a normal male who likes to dress up as a woman in the privacy of his home for his own sexual gratification or stimulus. But does not think or wants to be like a woman n he has no issues with body

I am sorry I did not read the qn correctly. I think either the qn is wrong or its not as simple. if the man feels that he should have been a woman then his preferred partner should be a man.
and if he just dresses up in feminine clothes then his preferred partner should be a woman.
But in the qn he thinks he is a woman and his preferred partner is also a WOMAN !!!

I also think rehellohie worded the Qs wrong !
A Male with gender ID disorder would prefer a MALE sexual parner, not bc he is homosex. but bc in his mind he thinks he is a WOMEN !!!
A Transvestite is a Male , his gender ID is a MALE, but he just likes FEMALE clothing so to get gratification

Thats true but u cant specify his Sexual Orientation Its not Necessary for a Gender Identity person to have Heterosexual Preference, He can have Homosexual or no sexual tendency towards males or females

about transhomosexuals: A definitional problem arises with the terms "homosexual" and "heterosexual" when either the subject or object of desire is transgender or intersex. Is a transwoman who is attracted to other women a lesbian? What about her female partner? The majority of transgender people today would describe this relationship as lesbian, but scientists (especially in the past) have tended to characterise it as heterosexual, interpreting the sex of the transwoman as male, and basing the definition of sexual orientation on biological sex rather than social gender. Others would interpret the sexual orientation differently depending on whether the transwoman is "pre-operative" or "post-operative". Difficulties in making these judgements can be seen, for example, in debates about whether female-attracted transmen are a part of the lesbian community.

well if the qn above is right and I have to make choice then I would go for gender identity disorder.

here is wht i found
Males with Gender Identity disorder who are sexually attracted to males tend to present in adolescence or early childhood with a lifelong history of gender dysphoria. In contrast, those who are sexually attracted to females, to both males and females, or to neither sex tend to present later and typically have a history of Transvestic Fetishism.

Exactly My Point Doc this is a debate going on How to place Transgender individuals who r Homosexuals or having such tendencies.

Considering the Question it is still a Gender - Identity problem cos the Person DOES NOT LIKE HIS MALE BODY.

Thanks everyone for the valuable inputs.

Yes NNL and doc179, I agree with you. If he does not like his male body then it is a GID, irrespective of his sexual preference.
