hi guys this is my problem.i am actually studying for step 1.i know this is step2 forum but i thought u all have done step1 so why not ask you.i have been studying for step 1, 5 months ago and finished only 2subjects and i dont remmber anything fro those 2 subjects.and now ia m doing a different subject and take like 2months to finish it and i bet i wont remember most of it after few months.how do i study is my question.i have 7 subjects total.do i study superficially understand the facts and finish 1 subject in 10 days and then sit and memorise them later.can u please tell me how you uys studied.thankyou

Don't think you can't remember material whatever you study,trust on God and yourself!

Start with easy subject like Pathology and try to remember basic facts and next day before you start new topic revise previous one and make short notes. And yes its one of the saying if you eat everyday atleast 5 almonds (not bitter one) sticking out tongue it will boost your memory power!.

thankyou so much anu.did u do 3 or 4 readings .can u give me somemore details about how you studied.i mean for 1st reading how much time r.ight now i am doing 1 chapter a week .but this way i think it will take 10 weeks for 10 chapters.dont you think its too much time for 1st readingg.thanks for your reply

Yes 1 chapter/week is too slow, try to finish as soon as u can.. atleast 4 chapter/week and you will gain more knowlege in 2nd or 3rd reading...believe me medical feild is very interesting...read like u are seeing real patient, not just reading boring chapter material... make our own clinical scenerios...
