hi there i feel the same about it but a lot of my friends told me that kaplan is enough and that usually they test for big clear things. i also read from other books first aid, ayala and cmdt (cmdt just to see when things are really blurry). i would start with kaplan and see hoew the test and simulations go. dinfitelly for rheumato u need to check other books. i feel that rheumato can be high yield and is not very well detailed in kaplan.

Hey, I have the same feeling... The FA is far more advanced that the Kap IM notes... That's why I am always confused when somebody advised to read ONLY Kap notes...

Hi Guys, I think Kaplan is the best and i realised that after my exams. If you are thorugh with that you can do really well. All that is deficient in Kaplan can be supplemented with UW.. kaplan+UW makes a great combo.Just make sure that you master both of them.GL

So FA and other books like Board and Ward are not necessary? I have very tight time because I have a full time job and will give the exam in June. ;-(((

Kaplan notes are great for step2... as stated in a previous post there are some things briefly mentioned in kaplan that need to be supplemented from a bigger textbook... however as a review Kaplan is enough...if there is something you don't understand move to the bigger text for that subject or topic... I found FA great as a wrap up... thought boards and wards was a little too basic... the exam is conceptual, so if you don't understand the concept, applying the right answer may be a problem... my suggestion - Kaplan notes, UW(2x), and the new FA for step2... supplement as needed with textbooks... good luck...
