I have about 3-4 weeks left for my step 1. I've been doing QBank, QBook, and revisions as well. Is NBME really necessary in preparation?? I don't know if I have time now to take it.

It is an assessment tool for you, if you feel you need it or want too. I have seen some post in exam experiences of persons who did very well and never took it. BTW I am taking my exam on the 30th and when is yours scheduled for, may I ask?

imho, nbme is a great idea. now is the ideal time to take it. you can improve yr final performance based on the result profile...

i'll be taking the exam on march 31. when is the perfect time to take the nbme? i am doing kaplan qbqnk right now.
