Well the time has come for me to ask for help as time winds down. I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions on how to wrap up my last 3 weeks before my boards, on 30th. I am currently on my 3rd read, and I have listened to Goljen 3 times. I have read Secrets, Kaplan anatomy, genetics, behav., and etc. I completed the Kaplan Q-Bank online 3 months ago with 50 on 100% questions completed. I took the NMBE 1&2 October and Nov. scoring 136 & 140 respectively. I plan to take the NMBE # by week's end. thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there; We are in the same boat..I will sit for my step 1 in a month time. From what I learned in this forum there are certain things that we must know. NBME is one !! and the best indicator of our performance.I took part one three weeks ago and was not comfortable with my result and is preparing for the others before I commit taking the actual !! In so doing I don't want to regret for not taking appropriate and timely measures if I don't do well in step 1.So I strongly advice you to take part 3 and decide accordingly. The experience of friends has shown that there is almost one to one correlation between NBME and step 1 result.I hope you have seen the thread of score corrrelation in this forum..that serial of friends have posted..Wishing you the best... Sany

thanks for sharing and yes I have seen the post and personally I wasn't happy with my scores on the NMBE I & II last October and November which is why I rescheduled and revamped my studying. I was suppose to originally take my boards December 13th and that was why I rescheduled I guess I am feeling kind of nervous about even doing the NMBE 3 this week, but I will be taking it by Saturday at the latest of this week. I will say this forum has helped alot and I am learning more and actually remembering/retaining more than I did then. I also feel more competent now and I have learned from the others attitudes play a big part. Because when I didn't do well on the NMBE I & II, I got depressed and cried and decided I couldn't do it. But, I began to read some of the posts about believing it is possible and with the help of my pastor and God I feel it is doable. But you still have that little bit of........well concern should I say But truly this forum has really been a blessing for me, as I have been a silent watcher since October of last year without one post......

tee40, you have a good positive attitude, from what I can tell by reading some of your other posts. You also seem to have been working really hard, too. So at this point, no worries, you will be fine! Keep us posted on your progress
